WASHINGTON (7News) — In today’s Around Town segment, our Roxanne Strouk visits Barbouzard, a newly opened French restaurant in Washington, DC which is inspired by the elegance and charm of the French Riviera.

Created by Nasr El Hage, the concept was born from a trip to Cannes and a desire to bring that sun-drenched, coastal energy to the heart of the city. The restaurant’s name, a French word meaning “secret agent,” adds a unique and fitting flair for DC. With a stunning interior, a lively champagne lounge, and a menu overseen by Chef Cedric includes dishes like bouillabaisse, steak frites, escargot, and a seafood tower to name a few. Open just two weeks, Barbouzard aims to transport guests to the South of France with vibrant ambiance, elevated cuisine, and a setting perfect for DC’s international and professional crowd. Located at 1700 K Street NW, it’s already making waves as a new culinary destination.
