    Just a little helpful note for you:

    Tonkatsu = Fried pork cutlet. You can have them on ramen, but they themselves are not a type of ramen broth.

    Tonkotsu = Pork bone broth

    What you’ve got is tonkotsu. Very small thing, but a pretty big difference that comes up a ton on this sub.

    Looks good! The other posters were very respectful regarding the terminology. They let me have it when I posted a pic of my first “tonkatsu”lolol!

    Have to say, I’ve never had a ‘Tonkatsu Ramen’ 🙂
    You know the mistake you’ve made.
    Also, if you’re in in Tokyo and want to have a Tonkatsu my rec is Butagumi.

    Time to move on to some proper Ramen now OP. That’s like having the McDonald’s if Ramen in Japan.
