SAN ANTONIO — Homemade Italian comfort food in the heart of San Antonio.

Albi’s Vite Italian Kitchen, a family-run restaurant located near 410 and Evers, has been serving up authentic Italian cuisine for five years.

Albi, who runs the restaurant with his mother, said, “We make everything from scratch over there in the kitchen.”

Originally from Kosovo, Alby and his family moved to the United States in 2006. In 2020, while studying business at the University of Texas at Austin, Alby decided to open the restaurant.

“Back in Italy, it’s always about simple, but fresh, and that’s what we do here,” he said.

The menu features signature dishes like lobster ravioli, stuffed with ricotta and served in a vodka sauce, and sausage arrabbiata, which includes thinly sliced Italian sausage, penne pasta, white onion, and a red pepper sauce.

For dessert, Alby offers a coffee tiramisu, made with espresso instead of rum.

Albi emphasized the welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant, saying, “For us, it means you come in as a customer and you walk out as family.”
