Each recipe showcases the bold flavours and deli-inspired versatility of the range, available in Original, Italian Style Herb and Roasted Onion. From the golden Original, to the herby hit of Italian Style Herb, and rich, umami of the Roasted Onion, these Subs are full-on flavour. Baked the New York way, they are chewy on the outside, soft on the inside, and made to be filled!
Classic Italian Sub – a hearty, iconic recipe combining mixed deli meats, cheese and rocket – bringing a true Big Apple staple to your plate.
Ingredients:
1 New York Bakery Italian Style Herb Sub (the aromatic foundation where Italian meets NY!)
2 tbsp mayonnaise
8-10 slices of a mix of salami, Parma ham, and Serrano (for that spicy, savoury, and rich kick that defines a real deli sub!)
4 slices of provolone cheese (iconic cheese for a true Italian sub)
Handful of fresh rocket (for a peppery crunch!)
Optional side: 4-6 cherry tomatoes, halved (for sweet, juicy bursts of flavour)
Method:
Grab your New York Bakery Italian Style Herb Sub and split it lengthwise.
Time to build that foundation. Slather both sides of your sub with the rich mayonnaise.
Lay down your first layer of mixed deli meats (salami, Parma ham, Serrano) on the bottom half of the sub.
Next, add a generous layer of provolone cheese.
Now, for the real stacking! Add another layer of mixed deli meats, followed by more provolone cheese. Don’t be shy and pile it high, the New York way!

Ingredients:
Meatballs
2 tbsp breadcrumbs (for that perfect texture and binding)
1 whisked egg (just a touch, to hold it all together)
2 tbsp finely chopped onion (for a punch of aromatic flavour)
1/4 tsp dried Italian herbs (the classic seasoning that screams deli!)
Salt & pepper, to taste (season without fear – the New York way!)
1 clove garlic, diced (for that essential garlic kick)
1 tbsp olive oil (for browning your meatballs to perfection)
120g marinara sauce (for a rich, vibrant tomato base)
Sub
1 New York Bakery Original Sub (the perfect crusty vessel for this iconic sandwich)
60g shredded mozzarella cheese (for that mouth-watering, melty pull)
Optional: a few basil leaves for garnishing
Method:
Form those legendary meatballs! In a bowl, combine your lean ground beef, breadcrumbs, whisked egg, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix well, then shape into 4 generous meatballs. In a pan with 1 tbsp olive oil, brown them on all sides for 5-6 minutes. Once beautifully browned, remove them from the pan for a moment.

Ingredients:

1 ripe avocado, smashed (for creamy richness)
1 ripe tomato, sliced (a juicy, vibrant burst)
100g shredded turkey breast (a generous, tender stack)
2-3 crisp leaves of lettuce (for that essential crunch)
Salt and pepper, to taste (season without fear – the New York way!)
Method:
