I keep seeing this sub so I decided to finally try sardines about 2 weeks ago. Tonight I’m trying king Oscar Mediterranean style, cheese, saltines, and pickled beets. This is my 4th tin ever and I’m impressed. Not sure if my pairing is good or not but it tastes good to me. Louisiana hot sauce sardines are my favorite so far.
If you have a good pairing option I’m all ears.

    Pickled onions might go well with it.

    Or maybe some creme fraiche.

    But I always keep it simple. Toasted bread with butter.

    If you like the hot sauce ones try out some in tomato sauces. There are some really decent spicy ones.

    Usually for me its all about finding new hot sauces to try out on any deens in oil.

    Same here. I never liked fish growing up. My doctor said I needed more omegas in my diet so I started eating tuna. But then I read about how much mercury it has and researched a bit. Found out sardines are low mercury but high omega so I gave it a try. Now it’s one of my favorite things to eat

    Pickled beets are delish! Never paired them with sardines…but tomorrow is a new day and I like newish things too 🙂
