Bringing your own food to a restaurant is stupid!

It’s unsanitary (who knows how clean someone’s home food is) and it opens the restaurant to WAY too much liability. What if the food someone brings in is spoiled and they get sick? What if the food touches another customer’s food and THEY get sick? It’s not rocket science.

Me (as waiter): *Oh ok Ma’am, I understand. Let me ask you, would you let a stranger from off the street come cook random eggs out of a target bag in your kitchen? No? Crazy right?*

If you have to bring your own eggs, you can’t afford to eat out.

  4. Hippiechu

“i don’t wanna pay 5 dollars for an egg when i brought my own”

then keep your cheap ass at home and cook your own eggs lol

I personally don’t like people who like to convenience service industry workers with their shenanigans. Stay at home they get enough shit.

if its premade food because of serious allergy, sure okay i guess, but she has raw eggs and is trying to save a buck

I can’t wait to see her reaction when it’s time to tip. Here are the 4 remaining eggs, each are worth $5.

I used to get off work late at night and would sometimes eat at Waffle House cause there were not many places open. There was a regular there that would bring his own shrimp and they would cook it on the grill for him. This had to be an issue because they don’t serve any seafood and it was cooked on the same flat grill as everything else.

Soooo, might seem like a wild proposition, but…..stay at home..?

That’s so trashy.  I’d be embarrassed to sit with that person

I’ve never been at any kind of dining establishment that doesn’t implicitly ban outside food or drinks. BYOB notwithstanding.

Did she really think someone was gonna say yes to this request?

I have a pushy aunt like this, sometimes she’s a super omega Karen, like she will drive back through a drive through just to go back and fuss about not having enough ice or some shit.

But even she has (barely)enough common sense to know not to pull a stunt as stupid as this.

If you don’t want to pay then stay home. You’re mostly paying for the service, not the actual raw product. This customer is dumb

Yeah as a kitchen manager, I’m personally asking this table to leave. Absolutely not going to happen.

  15. Significant_Row_5951

They are not paying just for the egg though, they are paying for the staff, for the bills, for the rent, for the furniture they are sitting on and for a ton of other stuff like cleaning etc

  16. TheMediumBopper

I bet she also asked for a cup of hot water to *sterilize* the utensils. Dumb bitch…

  17. Smper_in_sortem

Absolutely not. If that’s my store nothing is touching my kitchen that comes from the outside. It’s a health and safety risk as well as a liability issues well before the audacity problem.

  18. “Hey, I’m a very cheap and pain in the ass person, buy it want to be out to eat, but I don’t want to pay your prices.”

    **STAY, THE FUCK, HOME**

  19. aurore-amour

I don’t think even Julius from Everybody Hates Chris would do this. And that man was *cheap*.

Speaking of scrambled eggs, am I the only one who’s heard of a “Hard scrambled egg”? Think of a normal scrambled egg, just cooked for longer and in smaller pieces.

Girl is asking for trouble. Between the shades, nails and Karen tone, I would send the whole family out.

  22. formerly_LTRLLTRL

This is literally a plot point on Curb Your Enthusiasm

  23. ImAlreadyTracerBoii

That’s actually so embarrassing these people shouldn’t go out to eat…

r/curb would love this content. This is a spot-on spoof of Larry at the country club episode.
