Recipe
– 1.5lb dried ziti
– 1lb ground beef
– 1 yellow onion
– 4-6 cloves chopped garlic
– 25oz crushed tomatoes
– 15oz tomato sauce
– 1 tube tomato paste
– 2 tbsp dried oregano
– 1-2 tbsp crushed red pepper flakes
– 2/3 cup dry red wine (optional)
– 1 ball of fresh mozzarella
– 3 cups grated mozzarella
– 1 cup grated Parmesan
– 1.5 cups ricotta
– I used a box of the @gothamgreens basil because it’s a big box

Make the red sauce by browning the ground beef in a Dutch oven. Remove. Pour out excess fat if you want. I like to leave it in. Add olive oil (I like @getgraza ) and sautee onions and garlic until soft. Add the tomato paste and let caramelize for 5 minutes. Add red wine and cook until almost evaporated. Add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and 12oz water. Add in the salt pepper oregano and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2-3 hours partially covered stirring pretty often

Cook ziti until 2 minutes short of package instructions. Ina bowl mix ricotta, 1/2 cup chopped basil, half the Parmesan and half the mozzarella. Save the rest for the top.

Toss the partially cooked pasta in the sauce. With chopped basil

In a 9×13 casserole dish. Layer bottom with ziti. Then a thick layer of the ricotta mixture. Take half the ball of fresh mozzarella and tear it into chunks and scatter around the layer. Add your next layer of ziti then top with the rest of your cheeses. Don’t add the rest of the basil yet. Save it for after it bakes.

Bake at 375 loosely covered in foil for 25-30 minutes. Remove the foil bake for another 10 then broil for 1-2 minutes until slightly charred and bubbly. Let rest for 15 to 20 minutes and enjoy!

  1. This not having Creme Freiche is an insult to the episode! Looks amazing and definitely one of their funniest! Love the Series.

  2. I dare you to make Scott Tennerman Chili from "Scott Tennerman must Die". I don't recommend making Cartman's Chili though 😅😂

  3. If that's fictional, how are you eating it? Is this the power of the green screen, or the might of cgi?
