UPDATE: Several businesses in Catoosa County helped their neighbors in need after historic flooding struck the Tennessee Valley this week.
Earlier we reported that Vocelli Pizza in Fort Oglethorpe, alongside Pie Slingers Pizzeria in Rock Spring (Walker County) provided free food, water, and comfort to families and first responders.
Pie Slingers Pizzeria in Rock Spring is giving one free meal to each first responder that comes to the restaurant in uniform.
The generosity did not stop there.
Jefferson’s in Ringgold provided 40 cooked meals for families staying in shelter Wednesday night, according to a Facebook post from the county.
Buff City Soap in Fort Oglethorpe donated soap bars for folks staying in shelters, and Walmart donated towels and wash cloths.
Besides business owners, several community members also pitched in, filling a car to the brim with much needed supplies.
You can drop off items for donation at The Collonade and Cloud Springs Elementary School.
