Can I get some feedback from actual chefs on this bowl of fried rice. Does the food look “food truck worthy”? Could it *maybe* pass as restaurant ready?

This would be great for a menu item called “the money shot”.

I’m not a chef, but I can’t see much of the fried rice haha

Why not just make fried rice?

The drizzle and the picture angle aren’t getting along. It could use a little color. Looks like chicken/pork fried rice? Are you serving it in that greenish bowl? I think food truck I think container + lid.

Whatever your aioli/sauce is you should add gochujang so it is bright orange. Will look better and less like cum.

It looks average. Nothing special visually. Also hate the bowl but I imagine you would have recyclable plastic to go containers.

Green onion and black sesame seeds would look good

It looks good. But as soon as you call it fried rice, it starts to look bad if that makes any sense

Looks like what I used to get from the Chinese place in the mall food court in the 90s.

What makes this special? People arent going to food trucks to buy regular fried rice with chicken. Make it exciting, make it interesting, make it less brown.

WTF is all that spooge over it?

The shape of the bowl and the sauce spiraling makes it feel like I’m looking at one of those discs with a spiral on it that spins.

Especially when I saw it was fried rice and started really staring at it to try and find the rice.

OP are you trying to hypnotize us?

Why is all the meat on top? Is it not fried with the rice? I would suggest putting the sauce on the side or throwing some sliced scallions on top for color.

That white sauce doesn’t belong in that dish.

I thought it was like a cinnamon roll type desert at first glance. I’d eat it tho

Doesn’t look like a cohesive dish it looks like terriyaki pork with fried rice as a side. Lose the cum sauce add greens, serve the pork in the rice or side by side and lose the bowl…it’s an awful bowl

At first glance I thought it was a cinnamon roll or bread pudding.

I work at a Chinese spot and all my coworkers asked where the rice is

Not a chef, just an eater of food:

    – The different sizes of chicken cuts makes me think some of them are going to be dry, though overall looks pretty good

    – The rice looks bloated for fried rice. What kind of rice are you using?

    – Sauce is too thin and watery

Overall, looks ok, but would expect flavors of chicken + sauce + rice to clash. Also, needs acid or fresh component.

Egg fried rice should only have three ingredients. Egg, fry and rice

Been in restaurants and bakeries for years, no this is not ready for presentation. That’s not to say there aren’t food trucks and street stands selling shit way uglier and very delicious. That said, I’d destroy this in one sitting

Fried rice with zucchini and mayo? Bruv.

Gonna be real with you here, your plating is fucked. Fried rice should be a fully incorporated dish, not a layer of fried rice topped with protein and sauce. Get a full portion for an adult human sized bowl and try again. Also some color would be nice

This looks like ass but keep trying! 👍👍
