No tips or tricks from me, a novice smoker. Just coming in to say the Searwood is a beast and I couldn’t be happier it with it as my first pellet grill. You’re going to have a lot of fun. Enjoy!

Renovate your kitchen so it’s the only thing you have to cook on for a few months and you’ll know everything you need to know about it.

Honestly I would consider doing a pork butt/shoulder first. It’s much more forgiving than brisket and will allow you to learn how the grill works before diving into the deep end.
