Really not terrible. The texture isn’t great, but they taste alright. Just put some of whatever hot sauce you prefer on them and you’re good to go.

My gf went to get some hormel chili for a dip, and brought this back. Wet, wrapped in parchment paper, visually unappealing, still tasted okay tho. Ended up with a cheese dip over tamales. I’ve had worse.

I used to have a tamal guy in Chicago who would come into the bar when I was tending and sell. We encouraged it. His wife made the best pork and green chile tamales. A bag was $4 and you would literally not need to eat for 24 hours afterwards.
