I did once, 3 years ago. It was the last time I purchased Fast Food. Sure hope 5 Guys spends my $30. Wisely! They will not be getting anymore of my $

I just spent $20 on a chuck roast. I ground it and pattied the grind into 5 oz. Patties. Cost per patty? $2.00. A Potato costs $0.75. I fry my own and use my “no fake fry shake” homemade seasoning blend (best fry on the planet). Add a butter grilled Brioche bun for $0.50 and a slice of Tillamook Cheddar ($0.35) and I’m all in at $3.60. And I guarantee you that I CRUSH 5 Guys, 8-ways from Sunday, in terms of flavor.

  3. bro had so many choices for toppings and chose nothing lol

u might as well get a burger anywhere else

Haven’t been to Five Guys in forever but I’m also pretty sure you can get extra bacon for free on the bacon cheeseburger. Could’ve changed since then.

  5. Such-Courage3486

How is the cheese not melted more?

  6. TheFightingQuaker

Why was just the burger and drink $30?

  7. certified_anus_beef

I eat at Five Guys once a month and it’s $15.14 after tax. Little cheeseburger, little Cajun fry and a drink combo.

How is everyone spending $30 or is it just a meme at this point? Y’all getting the “regular” burger and “regular” fries? That’s like 2000 calories right there.

  8. GeneralGrapefruit18

Receipt or it didn’t happen. It doesn’t cost that much

  9. SeasonElectrical3173

30 bucks for a fast food burger and soda? Lmao, no, im good

  10. New_Boysenberry_7998

is it somehow more expensive in USA than Canada?

Cause it doesn’t cost $30 bucks for a double burger and pop.

  11. christianmenard832

Im gonna upvote you! but five guys in honestly garbage tier for the price..

  12. Uncle_Burney

Overhead costs are more than half of that $30, so I like to posse up with 4-5 fellow burger enthusiasts, take our $120-150 to the grocery store, and blast out couple-a-two-tree meals for everyone. Five guys makes a great burger, but there is nothing about it that cannot be recreated at home, with a bit of forethought and effort.

  13. MagazineDelicious151

    I just can’t justify anymore.

  14. fritterstorm

You go to the place famous for tons of toppings and add barely any? That’s wild.

  15. HomeOrificeSupplies

WTAF. Their burgers are worth about 1/6 of that to me. I make better burgers in my cast iron and it’s not close.

  16. Commercial-Shoe-5051

They don’t melt the cheese enough. It’s not in the conversation as In-N-Out.

  17. LiesofPinnochio

Lol 30 bucks for a double, fries, and a drink? Get real.

  18. Patient_Artichoke355

I really couldn’t spend that much for what you received..that’s just me

  19. WECAMEBACKIN2035

That’s weird. I can get a burger and fries from there for ~$15 where I live. Even adding a shake on there this math does not math

  20. 56ninjas

I moved from the west to the east coast and I miss In n Out so much, almost as much as the Mexican food.

  21. WeRU3388

Only way it’s close to 30 is if you got a large fries

*based on general prices in pa*

    Bacon cheeseburger=13.69
    large drink=3.79
    Large fries=8.99
    Tax=1.69
    Total=28.08

And if that’s the case, all the folks that say go to the store or a sit down place are totally right… but hope you enjoyed it.

I’m just angry every time I buy food now

  23. Kafornicus_the_3rd

My wife refers to it as Five fingers instead of five guys, and it always sounds so dirty lol

  24. MrChicagoTWP23

I like 5 Guys – but Culver’s is better and way less expensive.

  25. danknadoflex

That burger and drink should be no more than $9

  26. Usuallysad82

There was a thread somewhere that gave exact amounts of toppings and whatnot to achieve five guys burger taste and I just do that always. I really enjoy it.

  27. snowballer918

5 guys was expensive 10 years ago but it’s almost the same price as going to McDonalds now.

  28. FlintTheDad

If I’m spending 30 bucks I need my cheese to at least be melted on the burger

  29. sourflowerwatertower

Five guys is good. Pricy but good. If I ate casual/fast food burgers every day, I’d be broke or dead, but I dont do that.
Maybe one a month. I also like smashburger, kind of a similar story there.

  30. Maximum-Two-768

Why was it $30? A bacon cheeseburger (2 patties) at my local Five Guys is $9.89.

  31. ZeroKarmasGiven69

Five guys bukkake and fries is always a let down. So stop letting yourself down:

  32. Lucky_Chaarmss

One burger and drink there is not $30. Post a receipt.

  33. MrMiniNuke

I spent 30 just today. I got a bacon cheeseburger, fries, and a hot dog and I live in CA. Ain’t no way you spent 30 on that meal.

  34. DubsideDangler

Don’t be a whiner nate. Did you enjoy it?

  35. JohannesVanDerWhales

I wish this sub would ban large chains, it just feels like astroturfing. Never understood the reddit Five Guys circlejerk at all. I can make a better burger at home any day of the week.

  36. arathersmallelf

But how much did the burger cost after you bought the soda
