That Carpineto Vin Nobile is a great wine! I love the concentrated fruit, earth and tannic grip of that wine. I had it a few weeks ago with some short ribs. Mmmmmm. Good for the soul.

A Portuguese red blend (Silk & Spice 2022) with leftover bar style pizza heated up in the oven & topped with paper flakes and fresh basil.

Gumbo that I pulled out of the deep freezer with a 2004 long shadows pirouette that arrived this week a la winebid. Loving both and super impressed with the 20+ yr pirouette. Vibrant fruit, smooth tannins and nice acidity with some tertiary notes poking through but no signs of decline.

Jaboulet 2023 Parallel 45 Blanc with eggs, fries and a sausage onion, pepper, mozzarella roll for breakfast. Gearing up for RRV 2022 Pinot Noir with Chicken Parm and Linguine soon. Later, Taylor 2019 LBV and chocolate biscuits.

An unfortunately sweet-potato forward veggie burger with a 2020 FEL pinot gris for me.
