This homemade chili oil is my all-time favorite condiment. I’m completely out, so let’s restock my chili oil. I put this chili oil on everything from dumplings, wanttons to tofu, and eggs. This is my mom’s recipe, and she used to make a gallon of this every day at her restaurant. What’s special about her recipe is that she put tons of garlic and black vinegar in it. Black vinegar can help balance and enhance the flavors. After you mix all the ingredients, pour hot oil over the chili sauce to bring out the aroma. Once cool, transfer the chili oil to an airtight container and store in the fridge. Make this now and you can thank me later.

  1. I saw somewhere the told to add the cinnamon stick so after that it did not taste good it started smelling sweet

  2. I know it might ruin the taste but can i blend it? I'm autistic and have severe sensory issues with the texture of leek, onions and anything of the sort

  3. In México we do salsa macha and it is similar to it, but we don't put onions in it, but we blend the chile, garlic and the oil. Very delicious, but too spicy.

  4. I know that you seem to have cooking knowledge but hot oil into a ceramic or glass bowl is literally stupid. Elementary level IQ
