More about me:
My name is Cory, and I live on the outskirts of Milan in a 100-year-old renovated house. I work as a creative producer in advertising, and in my spare time, I write screenplays. I’ve just finished my first psychological thriller novel, a work of investigation.
Here you can find the illustrated children books that I wrote under the pseudonym Tina Renolf.

This is the third bloom for my rose this year. So I cut the dry roses to give it more strength. I am also proud of my zamioculcas’s first two sprouts in the two years since I bought it. It’s incredible that once they sprouted, it took only a week for them to grow this big. Last week I felt like having an impepata di cozze, a traditional Neapolitan dish of mussels with black pepper. Actually, it’s made throughout the Campania region, where Naples is located. First, they need a thorough cleaning. Then, sauté garlic and add a bit of chili pepper if you like it spicy. Make sure all the mussels are tightly closed before cooking. I also added a glass of white wine and some chopped tomatoes I had in the fridge. When the mussels opened, I added tomato sauce and pepper. Have you ever tried this dish? It’s delicious with both toasted or fresh bread. During summer, we usually eat more seafood. So I bought some paccheri, calamari, prawns, and mussels to make a delicious “pasta allo scoglio”. This dish is definitely one of my favorite Italian dishes. But since I found calamari at a very good price, I bought a couple more packs. And I also made some fried calamari.
Hehe! Considering that frying can be unpredictable, I wore my apron. And it got so hot wearing it… But I faced it like a stoic warrior and kept going on my sinfully delicious, unhealthy path. Hahaha! The calamari are so tasty that they don’t even need salt. I sifted the flour to prevent the oil from getting too thick. I usually pair them with a green salad, so I feel a bit less guilty. 🙂 Though lemon is non-negotiable. 🙂 I had to atone for the calamari sin with loads of exercise and long walks. Though my cellulite told me not to worry, because she likes my diet. 🙂 It’s so hot these days that the trees have lost their leaves, and it looks like fall. The river is running very low, and the drought has set in. The beautiful buddleias are really suffering from the lack of water. They are usually much larger, and their sweet fragrance is even more intense. I took a few branches to decorate the table. They weren’t their usual pretty selves, but I still missed having a lovely bouquet of wildflowers at home. Meanwhile, Arly got to hang out with one of his best buddies. 🙂 I told myself that if I still have to endure the heat, at least it should be for a good reason. So I cooked the whole half kilo of paccheri and shared it with two delighted guests. Sauté minced garlic in extra virgin olive oil with chili pepper to taste. Parsley Salted anchovies Clams Prawns after the clams have opened. The whole prawns release a flavorful juice that enriches the sauce. Then, add peeled prawns and calamari rings. This shot is taken after I added a glass of white wine, but I forgot to press record on that part. Hahaha! Chopped cherry tomatoes Tomato sauce Salt and peper Cook the paccheri in salted water, but I recommend finishing their cooking in the seafood sauce. This way, they’ll be even more flavorful. Trust me, pasta allo scoglio is absolutely delicious! Do you remember the table I was telling you about last time? “Someone” took pity on me and sanded it down.
Hahaha! So I brought it to the same color as the bench using a wood stain. Now I just have to convince him to sand down the Ikea shoe cabinet, since I can’t paint it directly because of its finish. By the way, these are my holidays. 🙂 Where are you for the summer? I hope you like the result! Take care!

Great to see you, Cory. I love your yellow skirt! Very pretty! And pasta allo scoglio is phenomenal! When I spent time in Puglia last year, I think I had Cavatelli allo Scoglio in just about every restaurant I went to. 😂 So, so good! You’ve inspired me and I’m going to make it this week! The table looks great, by the way! ❤
Please what is the secret project. Xx

Hello from Texas, USA.
Your vlogs are delightful. 😊
My summer found us moving house. I do not recommend moving during a Texas summer. 🥵 We are almost settled in…except for the garage and that can wait until the weather cools off.
Thank you for the little “get away” while I watched your vlog.
Good day Cory.
