I got it into my head I wanted to make a “fancy” cake (I watched too much Icing Artist…). I have never made a cake from scratch before, and never decorated with anything but frosting from a can, so I made this with my kitchenaid and a plastic ruler. I was told to post here from an ADHD sub (thanks hyperfixation!)

First of all, mad respect to y’all. Shit ain’t easy.

Second – holy mother of god the amount of butter…

Third – the honey drip kinda gave up on me. Oh well!

Fourth – SO MUCH BUTTER.

Fifth – seriously why don’t I just eat a stick of butter instead of this frosting?

It’s one layer of milk & honey cake and the others vanilla (I accidentally smashed the other layer of milk & honey into my ice maker when I was freezing them… sigh), with vanilla buttercream frosting and strawberry frosting filling. All the flowers are edible from my garden 🙂

(Marked birthday cuz it’s me – for my birthday lol. Is it weird to make yourself a birthday cake?)
