CARMEL- The weekend weather has been ideal for outdoor activity and hundreds of wine enthusiasts were on hand at the Putnam Veterans Memorial Park for the county’s 14th annual International Wine and Food Fest Saturday.
The event is showcasing New York’s renowned wine, ale and spirits producers, along with food purveyors, artisans and craftsmen in addition to local and international artists.
Wine aficionados were also joined Saturday by lovers of music who while sampling a variety of wines had the opportunity to be entertained by a number of professional musicians including Brianna Barbosa, who performed a blend of Spanglish R&B, pop, and reggaeton; Julie Corbalis; School of Rock Beacon which showcased some of the most talented young musicians in the Hudson Valley and Jason Gisser who brought classic rock, funk, southern rock, and soul to life.
Other performers included Jungle Love, a Hudson Valley-based band; Anker, a solo acoustic rock artist from New Jersey; The Armenian Rug Riders, a four-piece rock/pop band from Westchester and the Hey Baby Band.
The festival continues today starting at 12-noon.
