The restaurant on Flushing Quay is another addition to the Verdant portfolio after it recently reopened the Sea View pub in Falmouth following a refurb.
The latest venture is called Waterside and is led by head chef Andy Appleton who has promised fresh seafood, French bistro vibes, casual but fine dining.

Obviously, a selection of Verdant beers will be on offer as well as wine and spirits.
Posting on Instagram, Verdant Brewery based in Penryn, said: “Introducing our latest venue: @verdant_waterside, now pouring on Flushing Quay (Cornwall).
“Folks, there’s a new Verdant spot in town! We’re excited to take over Waterside, with none other than the talented @_andyappleton in the kitchen.
“Think. Drink wise? A selection of Verdant beers, lovely wines and carefully selected spirits to sip while soaking in those Fal Estuary views.”

The new restaurant is open Monday to Sunday. Coffee & cakes from 10am. Lunch & dinner from 12pm (Wed–Sun). Beers, wines & spirits until late.
People are being encouraged to take the Flushing Ferry from Falmouth to get to restaurant as parking in the village is limited.
“Flushing is a small village, and finding a spot to park your car can sometimes be tricky. “We do have a few parking spaces on the quay for our customers from 6pm, available on first-come, first-served basis,” said Verdant
“If you are coming for lunch or afternoon beers, we’d recommend trying the ferry from The Prince of Wales Pier in Falmouth. It’s a beautiful short trip across the bay, with scenic views.”

Located on Flushing Quay, Waterside has been the site of a number of ventures over the years.
“Now in our hands, we have brought in some serious talent in Andy Appleton as head chef,” said Verdant.
“Andy has created a menu of fresh Seafood, amongst other staples. Think French Bistro, no frills, casual but fine dining. We truly believe that the food will speak for itself. We are also open for drinks on the quay. A selection of beers, wines and carefully selected spirits available to enjoy in the sunshine.

We are open from 10am for coffee and cakes, so if you’re getting the ferry across to Falmouth, come down early and enjoy a coffee before heading off the quay. With plenty of space indoors and out, the Waterside is also a perfect spot for lunch and dinner, with stunning views over the Fal Estuary.
“Come and join us. We’re open and ready.”
The Waterside joins Harbour House and The Royal Standard, offering fine food in Flushing.
It’s the latest in a number of venues Verdant has opened recently. As well as the Seaview Inn there is also The Seafood Bar in Falmouth and Schooners in St Agnes as well as the Taproom in Penryn.
