    Not new to sourdough but I learned with an established starter. Thought why not try making my own and am so proud of the lil guy.

    I added a little more water than the recipe as I used whole wheat bread flour. Looks like I could’ve pushed bulk a little longer and score deeper (am rusty).

    Idk if it’s the higher humidity here but everything is fermenting faster. This is the roundest loaf I’ve made with good oven spring, it’s cute. Cant wait to see if it matures differently

    Thanks for sharing! I tried making my first starter early this month and I’m still not sure why but it didn’t work. Starting again tomorrow!

    I just love that savory & sweet thing. When I was pregnant with my son I would crave a grilled ham and Gruyère with raspberry preserves on sourdough. I wanted to eat it everyday
