did they take a slice out of your fish lol

  2. JankBrew

If you told me you made that at home and plated it yourself I’d believe it still had a place on shittyfoodporn. The fact that you paid $30+ for it is absurd.

  3. Thinyser

They are making a killing on that “meal”.

  4. g_master_b

somebody put in a lot of effort so you could enjoy a meal

Each slicing motion on the potatoes were roughly 2 dollars, and the lemon was upcycled from someone else’s drink. Please understand that this is a premium price for a premium dining experience. /s

They gave you someone’s leftovers 😭

Yo homie, the dollar sign goes in front of the number.

I’ve heard nothing good about Iceland outside of its geography.

When I came home after an Iceland vacation, the number one thing I craved was salad. If a restaurant served veggies with a meal, it was a small portion and the quality was abysmal. That was back in 2010 and I see nothing has changed.

Well, everything you need is right there.

I would’ve just got up and left. Maybe pay for any drinks I’d had, but nobody is getting paid for that sad excuse of a restaurant meal.

  12. pilgrimspeaches

It looks like they pre-squeezed the lemon. That labor must be worth a few euros in and of itself.

  13. shponglespore

My local IKEA would be embarrassed to serve this for half of what you paid.

  14. Upset_Assumption9610

Oh, you paid for it…yeah that’s not right. It appears the forgot the 4 pints of beers

  15. MarvisCharkley

They almost cut the potatoes in half. That’s not nothing.

  16. Rocket-Glide

I would have refused to pay for this and immediately left. Fuck these people

  17. deeppurpleking

I think I’d have looked at the waiter and asked for a refund

That poor leaf of spinach is so old, it starts getting yellow. I’d demand that leaf to be replaced.

I’ve seen grape tomatoes many times. This is the first I’ve seen grape potatoes.
It may be a mercy shortage, by the looks of the overcooked rubber salmon.

  20. spider_X_1

I mean besides maybe the salmon, nothing on that plate grows there naturally.

  21. Spiritual_Cell_9719

They would have to throw me in jail or on a plane back to the states cuz I would be demanding that the chef engage me in fisticuffs.

  22. TennisPleasant4304

It was nice of them to give you a bite of their tomato

That chicken is dryer than my feet on a sunny day

When we went to Iceland we did some research on what and where not to go because of the tourist traps. I suggest everyone do a little bit of research before heading abroad

The presentation isn’t great, but that’s a big piece(s) of what looks like smoked fish. Some fish aren’t cheap. Im not sure I exactly see the huge problem?

  26. HotTakesBeyond

Those lemons aren’t native to Iceland, they don’t know how to plate with them yet

  27. Same_Patience520

Did they give you someone’s leftovers? 😮

  28. CluelessPresident

Where in Iceland is this? I’m about to leave for Iceland in am hour lmao

  29. Early_Lion6138

Well, my wife is leaving tomorrow for 16 day trip to Iceland , we know it’s expensive but omg.

  30. SJBond33

Cutting things in half (ish) is their specialty.

  31. Colonel_Butthurt

Lemon’s like: “Please… this is my third plate… put me out of my misery…”.

Have you tried the hákarl? Frankly the two best meals I had there were a pasta dish I made in our rented cabin and the Domino’s pizza we ate in a parking lot before hiking up some incredible mountain.
