If you make rumbledethumps, how do you like it? I know people sometimes put bacon or ham in it. I’ve seen mushrooms. I’ve also seen someone use blended cashews in place of the cream to make a vegan version. Very similar to English bubble and squeak or Irish colcannon and so any of the things that are used for variations on those recipes could be used as a variation for rumbledethumps. What’s not to like? It’s potatoes and cabbage baked up to be all cozy and homey. I think it’s fair to say I’d probably like every version out there.
