Wife threw me a surprise bday party for my 30th the other day, but that’s not the best part, she asked our friends to chip in to get me a new MB Gravity 600!
I’ve been smoking meats on my 22” Webber kettle for a couple years now but I will admit that smoking on it can be a hassle since it doesn’t have a fire box, limited space, and constantly having to monitor and fight the temperature. I’ve gotten good at it and appreciate the grind, but about a year ago I started looking into smokers and told her that IF I did get one, it would be this one. I love cooking with charcoal but also wanted the temp control of a pellet grill, so this was it. But I just couldn’t justify paying $800 when my ole faithful kettle kept making delicious food.
Just built and seasoned it. Can’t wait to fire it up and stuff it full of ribs! Cheers!

Woohoo! Be sure to update us on how she performs. Upgrade your beer and you’ll be set! 🙂
Happy Bday and congrats! As a fellow MB owner let me tell you about the importance of grease management. I learned after a few infernos that you must run a drip tray for all cooks! Also check out LSS mods and Klotes mods for some cool aftermarket mods. I highly recommend an ash bin grate to start. I use that for all the wood splits and just keep the hopper full of coal (you can also add wood chunks to hopper though). Happy cooking!
Happy birthday and is she hot?
Well done wife! She obviously appreciates good food. 🙌👏🏻💜
Hope it serves you well!
Don’t forget to smoke your veggies too.
Congrats man! Happy for you but jealous at the same time 😂. What are you smoking the first thing?
Is your wife single?
