My first ever work trip, one city away. My work covered my food costs while I was there, and I had the opportunity to try so many more places I would never be able to normally.

I couldn’t figure out how to add text to the images, but here’s what I had:
Copper Branch (pic 11-12) – Asian Fusion bowl (+50/50 quinoa and lettuce, tofu) – Aztec Bowl (+50/50 quinoa and lettuce, tempeh)
8/10
Padmanandi (pic 13-14) – Curry mutton – Ginger beef – Padmanandi Vegetable Deluxe (I devoured this before I got a picture, but it’s the container in the back) – Jasmine rice
The Buckingham (pic 19-20) – Wings (salt and pepper flavour) – Churro knots with chocolate sauce – (Not pictured, nachos 4/10)
8/10
Most of the list here is fully vegan (the Buckingham, Copper Branch, Padmanandi) or vegan/vegetarian (Café Mosaics, Bliss Baked Goods). The rest were not vegan but had large, clearly labeled vegan menus.
It was such an amazing experience and I feel so fortunate. Rest assured that nothing was wasted. 🙂

Fuck, I miss the privilege of having a job that sent me to other cities and having the financial means to try new vegan spots. Glad a couple of folks on this platform are able to thrive and vibe in this garbage economy.

I’m going to pretend this is what I’m eating instead of stale sourdough.

Does anyone have an idea how that tempeh was prepared? Looks tastier than the sad grilled versions I’ve failed at. Could it be boiled/steamed?

I was sent on my first business trip to Texas in the middle of summer, between the heat and the BBQ I’m starting to think the company hates me…
Real talk though I did manage to have some decent vegan options there, always happy to eat on company dime
