First yield of my first garden

Reposted because I forgot to include the photo. This year was my first year doing any form of gardening. I have jalapeños, banana, and caribean peppers. Just picked off my plant tonight. How do they look? Should I wait until they are fully red or is orange-ish optimal? They look mean so I haven’t bit into one yet.
