Hi everyone, i just bought some brussels sprouts and when cutting them in half, i noticed they have black spots. Have these gone bad already?

As long as they don’t smell off or are showing signs of mold, you’re good.

I would eat it anyway.

So multiple of the sprouts have this inside?
Considering it’s on the inside I presume it’s just a mutation in the growing process or a scar. The only way to know for sure would be to send it off to a lab for analysis. If you are concerned, just don’t eat the ones which have these spots.

If they aren’t slimy and don’t smell bad, I’d assume they are still fine. I eat them when they look like that.
