For Giada De Laurentiis, Lucini’s Everyday Extra Virgin Olive Oil is always a go-to — that is, when she’s not using her own Giadzy-branded oil. “It is an extra-virgin olive oil, but it’s a light one, so it’s really easy to cook with,” De Laurentiis said in a video posted on Instagram back in 2019. “You just have to be careful you don’t cook with it at too high a heat, but otherwise, it’s fantastic.”
And De Laurentiis isn’t the only one who loves Lucini. Reviewers say it’s flavorful and excellent for both cooking and finishing.

“Gotta have my olive oil and this oil is great; not too strong or too weak but what I wanted,” one person wrote in their review. “A good tasting olive oil that goes so good with everything.”
Ina Garten, who knows a “good olive oil” when she tastes it, loves Olio Santo Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which is made in California — she even links to it on her Barefoot Contessa website.
“I like California olive oil better than I like Italian,” Garten told Bon Appétit in 2018. “It’s fruiter. It doesn’t have that little turpentine-y edge or bitterness from the olives. My favorite one is Olio Santo. I would say I’ve been using it for the 20 years that I’ve been writing cookbooks, but probably long before that too.”

Others who have tried it also love it for its smooth taste. “This olive oil is very light with no bitterness at all,” one Amazon reviewer wrote. “I use it sparingly for cooking due to the price; however, it cooks well. I won’t be wasting my money on the lower-priced oils in the market. I’m a fan of Olio Santo!”
And although Alex Guarnaschelli doesn’t have a top-tier favorite, she does have Villa Manodoni’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil in her collection. It’s “thinner bodied and equally delicious” compared to other quality extra-virgin oils out there, she said in a TikTok video from earlier this year. It’s cold-pressed, which gives it a rich flavor, making it ideal for finishing and salad dressings.

According to the Amazon listing, this oil has both fruity and peppery notes that give it a richness you just don’t get with less expensive brands.
