Maggiano’s Little Italy is vacating Tysons Galleria (2001 International Drive) next month ahead of a planned move to Tysons Corner Center.

Staff at the location told FFXnow that the two-story restaurant, which has served Italian cuisine at the Galleria since the mid-1990s, will have its last day of business at its current location on Sept. 23.

Construction on Maggiano’s new space at Tysons Corner Center got underway earlier this summer ahead of a projected 2026 opening. According to Fairfax County permits, the restaurant will occupy 17,078 square feet on the mall’s first floor near Coastal Flats, combining spaces previously filled by La Sandia and Brio.

Maggiano’s isn’t the only business in Galleria making changes. Two luxury giants are holding down the fort at temporary locations in the mall before they become neighbors next year.

Fashion store Louis Vuitton, primarily associated with luxury bags and leather goods, is currently operating out of a third-floor spot but will soon open a newly renovated location on the second floor.

Staff at the temporary location said the permanent one should open in roughly one year, likely in late summer 2026. Staff also said the new location could potentially be two stories, becoming a new D.C.-area flagship for the brand.

Meanwhile, luxury jeweler and watchmaker Cartier is working on a full Galleria location right next to Louis Vuitton. Like Louis Vuitton, Cartier also has a temporary location open on the third floor, though it’s on the opposite side of the mall near the soon-to-be-defunct Maggiano’s.

Staff at Cartier said the new location will open in January or February early in 2026, after which the temporary location on the third floor will close.

Elsewhere in Tysons Galleria, salad eatery Sweetgreen temporarily closed in late July for renovations. Its first-floor kiosk reopened last Tuesday (Aug. 12).

Perfume store Maison Francis Kurkdjian is under construction on the first floor, and the restaurant Bird’s Eye Thai has a new location in the works on the third floor, but did not respond to a request for comment regarding the opening date.
