Gyros with Greek Chicken and a Fresh Tzatziki Sauce 👌

Ingredients:

Greek Chicken:

2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup lemon juice
3 TBSP plain Greek yogurt
1 TBSP Red Wine Vinegar
1/3 chopped red onion
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 TSP dried Oregano
1 TSP dried Thyme
1/2 TSP coriander
Salt & pepper to taste

Tzatziki Sauce:

1 cucumber, peeled, and chopped into chunks
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
1 TBSP lemon juice
2 cloves garlic, minced (can add more if you like garlic)
1 TBSP Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 TSP red wine vinegar
1 TBSP chopped fresh parsley
1 TBSP chopped fresh dill or dried
Salt and pepper to taste

For serving:

Greek Pita Flatbread, Tzatziki sauce, diced roma tomatoes, peeled and diced cucumbers, chopped romaine lettuce, diced red onions, feta cheese, cilantro, Kalamata Greek olives (optional).

  1. you need to remove cucumber seeds to get rid of extra water and also to remove extra water from the yogurt, thats the original tzatziki recipe, anw, nice one
