GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) — Traverse City’s first Food & Wine event is underway, attracting food lovers, wine enthusiasts, and travelers to the heart of Michigan’s wine country.
Traverse City Food & Wine includes over 70 events over five days, spotlighting the region’s food and beverage culture.
It brings us all together in a new way, and so people are experiencing a flavor or a taste together,” said Whitney Waara, Traverse City Tourism COO. “It might build new bridges and create new friendships.
It will highlight dozens of Traverse City-area businesses including farm-to-table cuisine, nationally renowned culinary talent, and creative winemakers from the Traverse Wine Coast.
Traverse City Tourism said the lineup includes multiple events spread out across the area, so you won’t see as many big crowns, but smaller, more intimate gatherings.
The Traverse City Food & Wine event runs from Wednesday, Aug. 20, to Sunday, Aug. 24.
