About 3 years ago a friend of mine said, "You should try Hello Fresh. I think you and your boys would like it."
And she was right.
I've been doing this off and on since then, almost always cooking with my teenage sons. We've gotten really good at it, we understand what we are doing, and it's easy to divide the cooking tasks.
One of the things Hello Fresh has really helped with, is exposing my kids to a lot of new foods. I think it's partly because when the cook the food they know exactly what's in it and don't shy away from eating anything- and it's mostly pretty good! Each week I try to get one casual meal, hamburgers, tacos, sandwiches; and one for 'formal' meal like a piece of fish, rice and veggies.
I also try to get one meal in the 600 or 700 calorie range, and the other in the 800's, or 950 if it looks really good. I don't go over 1,000 calories, and I avoid the pastas because they are really, really good. And at this point in my life I am better off eating fish, than pasta and sausage.
So my friend got me into this a few years ago, and I like it.

Has the fried fish tonight, too. I like the new and improved version. 😋
