The Beak and Barrel Tavern, the new Pirates of the Caribbean-themed dining experience opening August 29 at Magic Kingdom, has proven to be one of Walt Disney World’s hottest reservations of the year.
By 8:30 pm ET on opening night for reservations, availability for the tavern had already been booked solid through at least October 19, 2025. Guests logging into the reservation system are now finding no openings for the first seven weeks of operation in two or four guest seating configurations.
Tonight’s opening of reservations comes after a bumpy start last week. The original reservation launch was delayed following technical issues that temporarily took Disney’s entire dining reservation system offline. To handle tonight’s high traffic, Disney set up a virtual queue system for guests using the My Disney Experience app, redirecting them to a waiting room on the Disney website ahead of the 7 pm release.
Despite the extra measures, demand quickly overwhelmed supply, with reservations filling up for seven weeks in around 90 minutes.

The Beak and Barrel Tavern will offer a 45-minute immersive experience with pirate storytelling, sea shanty sing-alongs, specialty cocktails, and small plates. Themed after the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, the tavern promises to be a highly atmospheric addition to Adventureland.
If you are still to snag a table, continue checking the reservation system in the coming weeks, as cancellations may free up limited availability. In addition, Disney has confirmed that The Beak and Barrel Tavern will be open on select nights during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, with resort guests gaining early booking access beginning September 3.
