This wine was on its way out. I thought it being a magnum it would have had a lot more life left. The color was dark garnet with a brickish rim. It smelled of manure and leather. It tasted of faint raspberry and finished in mint. This wine was close to being dead I believe. I need to try another insignia in a more recent vintage. I don’t have any experience with insignia besides this bottle. I think this wine can be so much better. I’m happy that I experienced it,but there was not a lot going on here. The finish was short with a hint of mint. The mouthfeel was thin and the acidity was high. I would give this a 85 out of 100.
