Top Chilean brand and UK #3 wine brand* launches cans, and BeLight Red to partner white and rosé low-calorie bottlings
Casillero Zero Sparkling now in mainstream distribution in Sainsburys
Casillero del Diablo, the UK’s leading Chilean wine brand and #3 Top Ten wine brand by value, is delighted to announce the arrival of new wine and new formats on UK shelves in August.
Casillero Cans
Casillero del Diablo has launched its most popular red and white wines in 187ml cans. The Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva and Sauvignon Blanc Reserva are now available in 1,000 Tesco Express stores nationwide.
Casillero del Diablo Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva is the UK’s No.1 Cabernet Sauvignon, and the Sauvignon Blanc Reserva is the best-selling Sauvignon Blanc from anywhere apart from New Zealand – and the #4 in the country overall.
BeLight Red launches in Sainsbury’s
Following the success of the 8% alcohol BeLight Sauvignon Blanc and BeLight Rosé, we’re delighted to announce the arrival of Casillero del Diablo BeLight Red. Like its white and rosé partners, it is 8% alcohol and only 65 calories for a typical 125ml glass. The wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere and Syrah, featuring early harvested fruit and a portion gently dealcoholized using spinning cone technology.
The new red joins Casillero Zero sparkling, the brand’s first no-alcohol product, which launched in the UK this year and is now in wide distribution at Sainsburys.
Brands Controller at VCT Europe, Claire Raine says
“It’s fantastic to welcome the range of new formats and products to suit the changing consumer needs. We have seen what an impact cans have already had in the wine category, and for a well-known brand like Casillero del Diablo to supply our quality red and white wines in this format will help grow the category even further. Response to the cans has been really positive.
“The BeLight range continues to get fantastic reviews from people wanting to enjoy a great glass of wine but with fewer calories, and the team in Chile took as much care producing a quality red wine as they had done with the BeLight Sauvignon Blanc and Rosé two years ago.
“Last and very much least when it comes to alcohol, our Zero sparkling is winning admirers for its zesty, fresh taste and being the perfect bottle to choose for one of the many times when you want to be part of the occasion but without alcohol.”
