  1. In the south (Texas) we slow cook pork tenderloin (crockpot) this method allows the pork to be tender & pulls apart. Hence why we call it pulled pork. Seems this method could be used w/ Vietnamese seasoning to get the desired outcome.

  2. Lol we also still use our hand to shread the floss we usually make beef floss and add chilli it becomes brown n spicy

  3. Alternating current

Alternating current (AC) is the movement of electrical charge that changes direction periodically. It is contrasted with direct current (DC), where the current flows in the same direction and is constant.

    Oh, I see. 😮

  4. We are so blessed in the Czech Republic to have such a large Vietnamese community. Incredible food, omg! I am from Australia and we have a lot of Vietnamese in Melbourne, where I developed the love for the food. These rolls are AMAZING. One thing I love is how full I am after eating things like Bun bo nam bo, but not in a heavy, sleepy way. Magic!✨

  5. I had never heard of this sandwich until I came across it in the Sims 4. I've wanted to try it ever since but I've never come across it in Ireland.

  6. im such a lazy cook. im always amazed at how much time ppl spend doing one dish. i could never be bothered, even though i know a lot of dished require time and effort

  7. fortunately, there is a great Banh Mi joint across the street from my apartment! It is the only restaurant on my block that didn't go out of business during the pandemic. One if their pickled veggies is a thin, thin jalapeno – it's the best! My favorite topping is a sunny side up egg – yum

  8. 7:31 Uyen, put a dampened cloth (like a tea towel) flat under your cutting board. It will keep it from shifting around like it is here in the video. Much safer!

  9. I tried a vegan one in a Vietnamese restaurant in Vienna and it was awesome! Just one little note: "ingredients" is pronounced "in- gri – dients" (gri like greet).

  10. Banh mi doesn’t come close to Döner. I have Vietnamese friends and it is nice to have Vietnamese food once in a while. But Thai cuisine is much better. I have to admit that I haven’t been to both countries.

  11. Very different recipe. I'm surprised you didn't use Maggi on top and that there was no pâté. You could have even subbed out pâté for liverwurst. Every Vietnamese roll I've ever tried has had some combination of butter, mayonnaise and pâté on the bread before anything else was added.

  12. You should be so proud of your efforts! Being an expat once myself, sometimes a taste of home takes hours of preparation but it is worth the time and energy.

  13. I live in Laos, and here we have the Lao version of this (although I am quite sure it came via Vietnam). Anyway it's called kaogee pate, and it's amazing and quite cheap. It of of course has pate, the white sausage, pork floss, and what I think is some kind of aspic. And also all the veggies. I think for next time you can buy pate from the supermarket and add that. Great video!

  14. Brazil also has a bread adapted from the baguette, we call it "French bread", but I think it looks more like Banh Mi

  15. Chinese Canadian here, and I love Banh Mis. Everything is really well balanced, and I love the crunchy bread. It's one of my favourite things to eat when it's super hot outside.

  16. you're way too harsh on yourself 🙁 everything looked delicious!! (mind you, i'm not vietnamese) but it looks so good to me and yummy😋

  17. Any of my 88 days in Vietnam last winter started with coffee (kogiel mogiel) and banh mi, along with two eggs, pork, tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions, with my ketchup instead of Vietnamese spicy sauces. ❤😂😂 As soon as it is possible, I will go back there for coffe😮e.

  18. Uyen, there are chicken shredders out there, it's some kind of box with teeth inside and it separates chicken much faster. 😀

  19. In Chicago, we have a really good Banh Mi shop called Ba Le. I don't know how authentic it is but if you ever come to Chicago you should try it and let us know if you approve.

  20. This girl seriously cant cook lol
No wonder her bf doesn't like vietnamese food. She always forces him indirectly to compliment her cooking eventhough it was an obvious fail because he is adraid to hurt her feelings lol
    This girl is so delulu

  21. I had banh mi for the first time when visiting the US last year and I still think about it! It was so good!

  22. I tried making sausage one time in my life. Definitely a difficult process, especially without proper tools.

  23. I wish there were more vegetarian and pescatarian options for Viet food. I don’t like pork (I’ll only eat it in pepperoni).
