Sweet potato Chengdu street noodles with medium Sichuan peppercorn and mild spice. Loved the mouthfeel. Slightly creamy from the noodles, savoury broth and fantastic mouth tingle from the pepper. Felt like my mouth was having mini Sichuan peppercorn explosions.
Cucumber Salad: refreshing, salty, crunchy with some umami. Next time I wi try the spicy.
Okra: Slightly softer thank al dente texture. Sweet, tangy and salty sauce. Big hit. Will get again but try the spicy version.
Crispy chicken with dry chilli sauce. Chicken was reasonably moist. You can taste the pepper in the batter. Loves the dry chilli rub that you could dip the chicken in. It was medium-light spicy with a hint of sweetness. Definitely had some solid mouth tingle. (Binge chilli powder is a little more layered)
Beef dumplings – fantastic. Dipped them in the okra sauce and chilli powder.
Peanut butter noodles. Good lordy. Fantastic texture and flavour. I could have been a noodle lawnmower.
