Mark Zabrowski, managing partner at Much Ado About Pizza, a Pleasanton pizzeria, finished third in the three-cheese category in the California Pizza Challenge, a national competition held at the annual California Restaurant Show and Pizza Tomorrow Summit in Anaheim earlier this month.
Zabrowski served up the pizzeria’s Fowl-staff pizza with roasted chicken, white garlic sauce, mushrooms, onions, Point Reyes Toma truffle cheese and a blend of premium mozzarella cheeses.
“This recognition means the world to us,” Zabrowski said. “To represent Pleasanton and stand among the nation’s best is a huge honor and we couldn’t have done it without the amazing support from our community.”
