This is an entry level wine that isn’t made to age this long. I don’t think it’s worth anything, but would still be interesting to open up and see how it tastes!

Yeah, echoing ColonelMander, this is not worth anything. This is a wine that would be maybe $30 for a current vintage and honestly is not good value at that price. Until a few years ago these were probably more like $15-20.
1987 was also not a good vintage. So you have an entry level wine made for short term consumption from a poor vintage. I actually clicked here to see if by some chance this post included a tasting note, just to see out of curiosity if the wine was still alive. The color and fill level look decent from this photo. I’d say give it a try.
