My grandfather taught me this and am posting it in case it is not widely known.
The best way to peel a boiled egg is to remove the top shelf and then continue with a spoon as shown in the picture.
Absolute game changer!

    I do this all the time! I actually cut the egg in half through the shell with a knife, then I use a spoon to scoop out each half of the egg. I’ve tried so many different tricks to make hard boiled eggs easier to peel, and none of them have worked for me. The spoon method is definitely the easiest.

    I use a spoon to gently crack the outside, but haven’t tried using it under the shell like that.

    Just peel it under running water, the water gets under the shell and it shlorps right off with minimal effort.
