Looking to get one of these to make protein icecream and sorbet. was wondering if anyone had experience with these and how they found the quality ? We currently have one of those regular ones you freeze but it kind of does not work great

  2. just run from anything branded Vevor…they peddle the lowest quality junk across hundreds of product categories

I would recommend getting the cuisinart low cost model where you freeze the bowl. It’s cheap, quality is good, very easy to clean. Products these days are absolute garbage and they aren’t built to last, if I can avoid buying appliances outside of Costco I try.

A compressor is neat and all, but at this price point I’d say it would be unreliable for the long term unless you make ice cream a few times a year.

I got my used wytner model off Facebook market place for that price ($150). I’ve had that for a couple years and use it and abuse it more than any residential model ever should.
