Richard Leroy

Beautiful wine. Polished, saline and high acidity.

The nose gives some crisp sweetness. Think of ripe white stone fruit.

The palate has a beautiful chalky minerality, aromas of soft citrus and white peaches.

One of those bottles that you wish was bottomless.

  1. Probably the best example of precise natural wine in the world, 5-10 year old bottles of these wines are amongst the best wines I’ve ever had.

Yep. Montbenault is one of the very best dry chenin vineyards in the world (along w/ Nourrissons, and maybe just a few others), and Richard Leroy is a master of the craft.

Exceptional wine. And, if you can get it at allocation pricing…..not nearly so expensive.
