Torta Caprese | Flourless Chocolate & Almond Cake from Capri
Torta Caprese is a rich, flourless cake that comes from my homeland — the stunning island of Capri. Made with ground almonds, dark chocolate, butter, and a splash of rum, it’s naturally gluten-free and deeply satisfying.
Moist inside, with a light crust on the outside, this traditional cake is perfect with a dusting of powdered sugar and a cup of espresso.
Ingredients (24cm tray):
• 160g dark chocolate
• 220g almond meal
• 120g sugar
• 120g butter
• Zest of 1 orange
• 1 shot of rum
• 4 medium eggs
A true southern Italian classic that never goes out of style.
