The Popeyes Foundation and Feed the Children have announced the launch of a national food tour dispersing meals and daily essentials worth a total estimated value of more than $1.75 million to 15 communities.
Each tour stop will support 400 families, who will receive a 25-pound box of food, including shelf-stable items such as canned vegetables, beans, soup, pasta, cereal, and peanut butter, and a 15-pound box of personal care essentials, including shampoo, razors, and toothpaste. According to a 2024 report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, 13.8 million children across the country live in households that lack consistent access to enough food for an active healthy life.
“A widespread issue like childhood hunger will only be solved through collective efforts,” said Feed the Children president and CEO Emily Callahan. “We’ve seen the significant impact that these local food and resource events have in supporting communities where children are hungry and going without what they need to thrive.”
