I ran to the shop earlier to rebuy ingredients to eat this again today. I had made it for the first time last night (2 pics on the right) and fell in love. Took 5 minutes to make.
Toasted bread, butter, sardines, parsley, lemon zest + juice, olive oil, and 1 anchovy each.

Out of curiosity where do people on this sub come from? Majority from US? I see a lot of sardine brands I've never seen before. How much does an average tin cost where you're from? UK here, a tin from sainsburys is 60p😎😸

Might be the most consistently life-changing subreddit. Seriously.

Looks great. You’ll find people from all over in this sub. Michigan for me.

Missouri, USA here, as far from the sea as you can get! You’re in a better place
place than I for exploring tinned fish, but I still seem to manage!

60p… Damn. Im in Colorado, a few hundred miles from the Ocean. $3-$4 a tin is considered a deal.

    Nice plate. Needs shallots imo.

Welcome to the cool kids sardine club my friend! Nice work on this meal, looks amazing! The lemon is a brilliant idea. Try lemon with capers, amazing!

Rural middle America, I have to buy most of my tins online except for the occasional trip to a city. I try to keep my average to usd $5 or under but have had a hard time doing that while exploring new varieties lately.
