    # Ingredients (1 serving)

    * 1 large potato (approx. 250 g) – Cost: about **€0.30**
    * 1 wooden skewer
    * 1 tbsp oil (e.g. rapeseed or olive oil)
    * Seasonings of your choice:
    * Paprika powder
    * Chili flakes (optional)
    * Salt
    * BBQ seasoning or garlic powder

    Preparation

    1. **Prep the potato:** Wash the potato thoroughly, no need to peel. Insert a wooden skewer lengthwise through the center.
    2. **Spiral cut:** Use a sharp knife to cut the potato in a spiral: angle the blade and rotate the potato while slicing until you reach the skewer. Gently stretch the spiral apart.
    3. **Season:** Brush the spiral with oil and season generously – go mild or spicy, depending on your taste.
    4. **Cooking – two options:**
    * **Airfryer:** 190 °C (375 °F) for about **22 minutes** – fast and crispy.
    * **Oven:** 200 °C (390 °F) top/bottom heat for **30-35 minutes** – just as tasty, slightly longer.
    5. **Serve:** Enjoy hot and crispy – perfect as a snack, side dish, or with your favorite dip!

    Love these, there is an actual food van at some festivals that sell these with a choice of flavours but obviously much cheaper to do at home
