More than 200 years ago, hundreds of Parisians turned the tide of the French Revolution by storming the Bastille state prison, freeing prisoners and also seizing firearms to supply their fight. From France to the U.S. and everywhere in between, this holiday — Bastille Day on July 14 — is commemorated with parades, fireworks, plenty of morsels and more. Sure, you can take part by dining at the excellent French restaurants around town, like Coucou, Petit Trois, Camphor, Violet Bistro, Amour WeHo, Mr. T and Pasjoli. But for a dash of extra celebration, read on for where to take part in festivities across the city.
