This is why I use a nice big aluminum bowl! Never have an issue with reaction and I’ve def dropped it s few times! This is sad though! Lots of bread and time wasted..

Glass bowls are heavy quit doing it to yourself.

Stop trying to cut yourself by picking it up. Get a dustpan.

I had an oven bulb shatter into ciabatta I had just put into the oven (misting it during the initial bake, not even thinking about water and hot glass are bad combo)

My heart goes out to this baker during this disappointing time.

Melamine bowl with lid to the rescue! Sorry about your mishap, this is why only metal or melamine is allowed in our kitchen 🍞🥖

oh that made my heart hurt a little

but also this is why I won’t use a glass bowl for anything

The reason for crunchy dough is Too much crystal structured stuff. Like salt, sugar or glass

  11. Also, what is this irony taste and stinging sensation in my mouth?

And that’s why glass is a bad material for the kitchen. A steel bowl would have at worst gotten a little dent from that.
