Went to Nasha and tried a few things — paid for it all myself, just sharing in case anyone’s thinking about going.
Got the tikka con queso, which was super cheesy and spicy in a good way. Also had the veg puff samosas — flaky and filled with curried potato and peas, but what really surprised me was the mint and tamarind chutney. It was insanely fresh and flavorful. Honestly blew me away.
Tikka masala was creamy and comforting, chana masala was solid with a nice spice to it, and the naan was soft and warm like you want it to be.
It’s not super traditional, but everything tasted great. Would definitely go back.

I love that they serve thalis. Perfect for when I can’t decide on what I want.
ETA: If you haven’t tried the Kamsutra margarita, you’re missing out
I love Nash’s! I also love how they aren’t afraid of spice.
Nasha is great and has really good hh specials.
looooove nasha
They have a location at Congress/Slaughter too. Had it the other day for the first time and will be back!
Didn’t try any “indo tex” unique dishes yet but the biryani and masala was great
The tikki con queso is basically the most delicious appetizer in town.
Love Nasha! They were a little inconsistent back in the day but every time I’ve been recently, it’s been amazing. I’m also vegan & gf & they have plenty of tasty options for me.
Nasha is the BEST hidden gem! Highly recommend their chile rellanos with tikka masala sauce – it’s so weird and good!
Did you get half orders of the appetizers?
been multiple times and their food always made me throw up. but the margs are good!! especially the tulsi marg
I love the Tex-Mex Indian fusion concept, and that queso with the bubbled crispy roasted papad is to die for. I also like how they have some traditional Konkani items on the menu, like bajra roti and simple homestyle daal.
just got some nasha last night.. my toddler LOVES the ghati masala dal
This place is amazing
Try their ghati daal pretty tasty
Wow… looks great… and those prices!!!
Wow I am going to have to check this place out
It’s a great place however I’ve recently found the gravity of Whip In to be my new favorite for Indian cuisine! Check it out!
If you didn’t try their Mexican Martini- you have just missed the best one in Austin. I will fight people on that.
Edit: I’ve been coming here for at least 7 years- pre kids. The owner knows the names of our kids and is a delight. The food is fucking amazing and the Mexican Martini’s were worth mentioning twice.
The curry marg is outstanding
The amount of positive reviews in here is surprising. Indian born and have run two restaurants in India and New York. Nasha has good margs but that’s about it. There isn’t much good Indian food in Austin but Nasha is below average for Austin imo. Lovely people though.
Nasha has my favorite restaurant saag!
Nasha’s margs and drinks are so underrated
