Crafting is essential in 99 Nights in the Forest to help your chances of survival. Whether you’re looking for ways to help navigate the expanding forest or you’re keen to defend your base against enemies, these crafting recipes will come in handy.
How to Craft in 99 Nights in the Forest
When you load into a run, you’ll spawn right at the crafting bench. But you won’t be able to make anything straight away. Four recipes will be immediately unlocked, which are the Map, Old Bed, Bunny Trap, and Crafting Bench 2, but you’ll need to find some loot to get them crafted.
There are two signs visible on the crafting bench. The red one shows a log, and the grey one shows a screw. These represent the amount of wood and metal that you have.
In order to get wood, you’ll need to chop down trees and throw logs into the chipper at the end of the table. For metal, you’ll want to find old items scattered around the forest, which include Sheet Metal, Old Radios, and Bolts.
How to Unlock New Recipes
To unlock more recipes than the ones you start with, you’ll need to upgrade the Crafting Bench. You’ll need a total of 81 Metal, 100 Wood, 2 Cultist Gems, and 1 Gem of the Forest to unlock Level 5 of the Crafting Bench.
