New York’s Prince Street Pizza is opening its first Arizona location in Tempe on August 28, 2025.The grand opening will be held from 5-11 p.m.In addition to square slices, Prince Street Pizza also offers classic Neapolitan-style round pies.

If you’ve scrolled Instagram and drooled over the glistening pepperoni cups atop squares of New York cult favorite Prince Street Pizza, you’re in luck. The long-awaited metro Phoenix location is finally opening.

Known for its thick, fluffy crust, molten cheese and tangy sauce, this pizzeria has built a reputation as one of New York City’s most iconic (square) slice shops since opening in 2012.

After expanding beyond Manhattan to cities like Miami, Chicago, San Diego, Las Vegas, Toronto and Los Angeles, in Aug. 2024, Price Street announced it was bringing a taste of New York to the desert. The projected opening date was January 2025.

What style of pizza is Prince Street Pizza?

Prince Street Pizza serves two main styles of pizza: the Sicilian-style square slices, also known as grandma slices, which are thick, fluffy crusts baked in square pans. Their most famous slice is the SoHo Square/Spicy Spring, topped with pepperoni cups, mozzarella, Pecorino Romano and diavolo sauce.
