The Brainrot Mutation was added to Grow a Garden on August 23, 2025, as part of the Beanstalk Update expansion. It’s a mutation that’s tied to an event and a pet, so here’s everything you need to know about this mutation and its event. Such as how to get it and what it does!
How to Get the Brainrot Mutation in Grow a Garden
There are two ways to get the Brainrot Mutation, but unfortunately, neither of them is easy. During the Admin War Event, the Brainrot Portal event summoned characters from the Steal a Brainrot game. While this went on, fruit in your garden had a chance to get the Brainrot Mutation. Since this was part of a limited-time event, it’s not likely we’ll see the Brainrot Portal again.
However, if you got the Lemon Lion pet during the Admin War or through trading, you can still get the Brainrot Mutation. This pet applies the Brainrot Mutation once every 5 minutes to a random fruit. Grow a Garden players who were still playing at the end of the Admin War got this pet as a reward, among others too.
If you stuck around long enough, you may have even gotten it again since the developer ran the event twice. This was a way to give more people a chance to get it since the Roblox servers were struggling when it was given away.
What Does the Brainrot Mutation Do?
Like all mutations, Brainrot adds a value multiplier to your crops. This increases the profits of your fruit by x100. Which makes it a great mutation if you’re lucky enough to get it. In addition to this, your fruit becomes surrounded by confetti and a Roblox face frequently appears near it.
